Flipboard Launches in China æ
What’s different about the Chinese edition is the fact that the entire Flipboard experience is in the local language, including a curated Content Guide with regionally-relevant content and the inclusion of popular local social networks Sina Weibo and Renren.
So anywhere else in the world, you get the English edition, but in China, you get a Chinese edition? I get that Twitter and Facebook are not popular in China (i.e. blocked), hence the partnerships with their Chinese counterparts, but “curated Content Guide with regionally-relevant content”? Sounds like a euphemism for censorship.
That said, their newly-released iPhone app is delightful.
